The County of Lambton is an urban-rural area in southwestern Ontario that is home to over 126,000 residents. Position Overview

Assist Building Custodians and Maintenance Repairmen in carrying out minor building and equipment repairs, maintaining grounds and performing janitorial duties at Social Housing properties owned by the County of Lambton.

Student will be supervised and mentored by the Assistant Supervisor, Property and Client Services.

The County provides health and safety training (including WHMIS) at a full day of orientation and each student receives a copy of "Are you in Danger" brochure. The Assistant Supervisor Property and Client Services will provide further training as required by this position.

Qualifications

Summer Student positions with the County of Lambton may be dependent on funding and the funding criteria, which specifies that students must:
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age
• Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
• Canadian citizens, permanent residents or have refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Will not have another full-time job
