Tourism Sarnia-Lambton – Ontario’s Blue Coast is the Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for Lambton County welcoming visitors from all over the world. We promote, market and advertise events, attractions, culture & history, places to stay, eat, shop and experience throughout all eleven municipalities the encompass Lambton County. Our staff provides a multitude of information and services to all leisure & business travelers, tourism operators, industry suppliers, local residents, as well as government & research organizations. Position Overview

Manage all aspects of digital media and graphic design related to all social media platforms, advertising and website. This is a full-time contract position.

Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications:
• Create digital media marketing plan that aligns with TSL strategic plan
• Create and post content on social media platforms
• Create multimedia promotion for industry partners (video, photos, filters, etc)
• Manage social media campaigns and contests
• Input events on website
• Write, design and publish consumer and partner e-newsletters
• Write and distribute news and news releases in coordination with other staff
• Provide editorial content for annual travel guide
• Design promotional content as required (advertising, posters, flyers, etc)
• Update TSL listing on affiliated websites (SWOTC, Ontario Travel etc)
• Maintain and oversee the content on TSL website and Social Media

Partner & Product Development:
• Liaison with regional tourism staff and assist in the development of itineraries for visiting bloggers and media
• Develop partnership social media workshop to engage industry partners
• Respond to any inquiries from tourism partners related to our on-line presence and chats and mailboxes

Internal Business Operations:
• Maintain photo library and identify what new photography is required
• Update email service provider database
• Report social media statistics monthly
• Attend tourism industry events as required
• Create and distribute surveys

• Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, County Policies and Procedures, etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed
• Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the position's Physical Demands Analysis

Minimum Formal Education
• 2 year Social Media, Graphic Design and Web Design/Marketing Diploma

• 2-3 years’ demonstrated experience in developing and implementing social media campaigns
